Biography
Having delivered an impressive debut set for Sunnyside in 1989, Jerome Barde first took up guitar in France at age 13. His initial focus on rock gave way to new directions once he encountered the John Coltrane Quartet through recordings at 16, and he turned professional the next year. Barde later relocated to the U.S. for studies at the Berklee College of Music, gaining performing experience with Jerry Bergonzi and Steve Grossman before settling in New York in 1986.
