Biography
Jesse Ruins crafts expansive sonic vistas that merge the mist of shoegaze with the gleam of ambient electronics. The project originated in Tokyo in 2010 as a solo endeavor by the enigmatic musician Nobuyuki Sakuma, who first presented it later that year through a cassette on the label Cuz Me Pain. In December of the following year Sakuma brought in the ghostly voiced female singer Nah to broaden those atmospheric sonics, and the duo soon signed with Captured Tracks. They opened 2012 by reissuing the sold-out single A Bookshelf Sinks into the Sand, then issued the Dream Analysis EP one month afterward.
