Jeta

Jeta originated in Ontario, Canada, during 2000 when Brandon Smith on guitar and Kevin Burns on vocals established the initial pair. Their approach fused electronic textures with alternative pop and rock characteristics, prompting the core duo to enlarge the lineup into a six-piece ensemble by adding Jeremy Kinnick on vocals and keyboards, Oscar Gutierrez on drums, Bryan Lareau on guitar, and Scott Usher on bass. Echoes of Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, and other prominent 1980s acts informed their direction, allowing the Canadian group to cultivate a sizable audience through inventive stage presentations. After repeated concerts that reinforced their following throughout Canada and across the United States, the band released two albums, Jeta Jam and Jeta Internal, in 2001.
