Biography
Beginning in the early 1990s, New York City-based guitarist, singer, and songwriter Jim Lampos began issuing roots rock albums while delivering live performances that earned considerable local praise. Three titles have appeared on the Clocwyse label: Dreamland in Flames in 1994, Innuendos of Lafayette in 1997, and Starlight Theatre in 2000. Although Lampos sometimes appears alone, most of his shows feature a backing band of violinist Chris Tedesco, bassist Greg Amani, and drummer John Feldmann. Without a major-label contract, he has nonetheless secured airplay on more than two hundred independent radio stations, registered on the CMJ Americana and AAA charts, and been featured in two brief segments of VH1’s Midnight Minute.
