Biography
Manchester-born Jamie Francis Alexander Goodwin, better known by the stage name Jimi Goodwin, entered the world on May 28, 1970. Long celebrated as lead vocalist, bassist, and guitarist for the English indie-rock outfit Doves, the versatile musician frequently trades drum duties with bandmate Andy Williams. Across the group’s catalog he has appeared on the four studio albums Lost Souls (2000), The Last Broadcast (2002), Some Cities (2005), and Kingdom of Rust (2009), while also lending his talents to sessions by Electronic, Lamb, Cherry Ghost, Mark Lanegan, Soulsavers, and Elbow. In 2014 he issued his first solo outing, Odulek, on the Heavenly label.
