Biography
Jimmie Van Zant, working as a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, took early cues from relatives Donnie, Johnny, and above all Ronnie, who shaped his initial command of the instrument. Recognition came through appearances at summer festival shows and Harley-Davidson rallies, after which he issued his first album, Southern Comfort, in summer 2000 on J-Bird Records.
