Biography
During the 1950s Jimmy Amadie worked as a hot jazz pianist, accompanying such notables as Mel Tormé and Woody Herman. Momentum behind his rising career ended abruptly in 1960 when severe tendinitis forced him to stop performing. Multiple surgeries and physical therapy in the mid-1990s restored his ability to play, which led to the 1995 release of Always With Me, his first solo album.
