During the 1970s, Miami vocalist Jimmy "Bo" Horne achieved moderate success with dance-oriented material and novelty numbers issued on Alston and Sunshine. His only R&B Top 10 entry arrived in 1978 with "Dance Across the Floor," written and produced by Harry Casey, better known as K.C. of K.C. and the Sunshine Band. Although "Spank" found favor in numerous clubs that year, Horne's remaining Top 20 R&B single, "You Get Me Hot," surfaced in 1979 on Sunshine. His final release, "Is It In," appeared in 1980 and failed to chart.
