Drawing from touchstones such as AC/DC, the Dead Boys, Johnny Thunders, the Ramones, Joy Division, Nirvana, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jimmy Flame characterizes himself as "a multi-instrumentalist, hot-like-fire rock 'n' roll machine, ready to blaze faces with his hot licks, cheap pics and molten ivory-tickling fingers." A native of Baltimore, Maryland who now operates from Seattle, Washington, Flame also maintains a parallel career as a veteran professional wrestler and has supplied entrance themes for Kevin Sullivan, Brutal Bob Evans, and Wildman Kongo. After sharpening his skills within Baltimore’s club circuit, he moved to Seattle during the mid-'90s and assembled the SexXy Boys. Delivering an explosive blend of hard rock, post-grunge, and punk delivered through a working-class/bar band lens, Jimmy Flame & the SexXy Boys crisscrossed the United States, scoring an underground success in 1999 via the raw single “Ass Pocket of Rock 'n' Roll.” The group sustained its touring and recording schedule, issuing five albums plus one additional single across the ensuing ten years until its dissolution in 2009. Since that time the self-proclaimed "infamous gentleman and bona fide agent of good times" has kept both his recording and wrestling endeavors active, placing new material on streaming platforms.
