Biography
Although J.J. Sinatra's musical approach draws heavily from golden age hip-hoppers 3rd Bass, his notion of going old school centers on the sharp style and brash demeanor associated with Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack. A native of Norristown, PA, he started rapping in 1996 by crafting rhymes and laying down tracks in nearby South Philly. Viewing himself as "a distant Sicilian cousin of Raekwon, Nas, or Jay-Z," J.J. cultivated an image that echoed Ol' Blue Eyes at his peak. Outfitted in silk ties, cuff links, and the finest Italian suits, he issued his first album, Martini Dreams, via the Jimmy Franks label in 2008.
