Jody Stecher

Jody ranks among the planet’s premier musicians, having collaborated in the studio with Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser, Indian sitarist Krishna Bhatt, and numerous leading American traditional players. Kate’s résumé includes performances alongside assorted West Coast ensembles. On instruments, Jody handles mandolin, guitar, fiddle, and banjo, while Kate takes up banjo and guitar. Both deliver exceptional vocals, and their duo work stands without equal. Even Ron Thomason finds himself speechless when attempting to capture the elegance of their instrumental and vocal artistry, leaving any ordinary observer little room to add further comment. Acquire the recording Blue Lightning, absorb its tracks, and consult the accompanying notes penned by Ron. Those observations leave nothing further to be said, and listeners will persist in seeking out every other release the pair has made.
