Biography
In the closing years of the 1990s, singer and songwriter Joe Mannix pursued rock-leaning material through his punk-pop group Oral Groove alongside the roots-oriented project Mannix. After several years had passed, having gained experience, Joe Mannix embarked on a solo career featuring a folk-infused style. During the middle of 2002, he departed from his residence in New York City, heading to the rural areas surrounding Hamilton, Ontario, where he collaborated with engineer Glenn Marshall and Dave Rave from Agnelli & Rave. The first solo album from Mannix, titled White Flag, was released by Bongobeat during the summer of 2003.
