John Boy & Billy

John Isley and Billy James make up the John Boy & Billy team, which fronts a widely followed morning radio program. Their on-air partnership first took shape in 1980 at WBCV in Charlotte, NC, and quickly expanded into a nationally syndicated format carried by more than 94 stations across 26 states. The pair emphasize a “family” oriented approach that has drawn a devoted following among race-car enthusiasts, a connection underscored each Monday when the most recent NASCAR winner phones in to claim “bragging rights.” Beyond the broadcast booth, the duo stages its own comedy performances and has released recordings since the early ’90s, among them the 1993 album Two for the Show along with Love Ya…Mean It, Dixie Diner, and Christmas Album.
