Biography
Multi-instrumentalist John Faulkner has worked in the studio and on stage both solo and alongside Ewan MacColl's Critic's Group, De Danaan, and his former spouse Dolores Keane. Yet his most notable achievements lie elsewhere: scoring soundtracks for BBC documentary videos, running a recording studio in County Galway, and producing releases for Keane, John Beag, The Lonely Stranded Band, and Alec Finn. He also served as co-producer on De Danaan's Ballroom and Hibernian Rhpsody. In 1989 the track "Lion In A Cage," which he composed for Nelson Mandela, held the number-one slot on the Irish music charts for four consecutive weeks.
