John Lemke, a composer and sound designer born in Berlin and now based in Glasgow, crafts cinematic electronic works that draw on prepared pianos and experimental guitar techniques. His recordings move across downtempo and ambient textures into dubby techno, absorbing elements of contemporary jazz, classical, tango, post-rock, and further styles. Initial recognition arrived through film and television assignments that encompassed scores for BBC documentaries, contributions to production libraries, and original music for indie films. For his solo output he joined the German label Denovali Records, entering the catalog in early 2013 with the single "Traveller," the EP Walizka, and the album People Do. A remix-expanded edition of Walizka followed in 2014, and his second full-length Nomad Frequencies surfaced in 2015.
