John P. Strohm

John P. Strohm participated in multiple indie pop endeavors throughout the 1980s and 1990s, beginning as a drummer in a Bloomington, Indiana, punk group before becoming the guitarist for Boston's legendary Blake Babies. Once that band ended, he handled guitar roles in Antenna, his own project, as well as Velo Deluxe and Hello Strangers, and also served as a touring backup musician for Polara and the Lemonheads. His debut solo release, Caledonia, appeared in 1996. Three years later came Vestavia, named after the modest Alabama city where he resided at the time. After issuing that album he stepped away from music to concentrate on academics, earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama in 2001 and a law degree from Samford University in 2004. His third studio album, Everyday Life, reached listeners in 2007.
