Biography
Irish trumpeter Johnny Carroll earned admiration from listeners as the Man With the Golden Trumpet after committing many years to refining his abilities and gaining recognition among Ireland’s foremost musicians. Extensive group performances preceded his emergence in the 1990s as a significant solo act. Several recordings appeared by the close of the decade, among them From the Heart, while his output remained steady into the early 2000s with the release of the widely praised Songs I Love to Play.
