Johnny Crash

Vicki James Wright, the vocalist from Tokyo Blade, grew weary of the UK rock circuit once that band split and headed to Los Angeles in pursuit of sympathetic players. A string of aborted efforts gave way to a settled roster of guitarists August Worchell and Christopher Stewart, bassist Andy Rogers and drummer Stephen Adamo, who adopted the name Johnny Crash. Their Tony Platt-produced debut erupted as a vigorous, street-smart blast of blues-rooted rock and roll that openly flaunted the classic-metal stamp of Mötley Crüe, AC/DC and Kiss.
