Biography
Born on April 24th, 1947, in Banagher, County Offaly, Ireland, country singer and songwriter Johnny McEvoy earned his widest recognition through the 1966 single “Muishin Durkin” and the song “Nora.” His strongest chart presence occurred throughout the 1960s, yet he continued writing, issuing, and performing new material for decades afterward.
