Biography
Norwegian-born Jørn Lande has earned steady calls for both studio sessions and stage appearances, establishing himself among the busiest and most sought-after vocalists in his era. He launched his career in the late 1980s fronting the local hard rock outfit Hydra before teaming with former T.N.T. guitarist Ronni Le Treko in the metallic rock group Vagabond, which released two albums across its brief existence between 1994 and 1995. A subsequent collaboration with ex-Whitesnake guitarists Bernie Marsden and Mickey Moody led to the formation of The Snakes, whose activities from 1997 to 1998 encompassed live shows and recordings that mixed covers with original songs. Lande next contributed vocals to power metal band Mundanus Imperium’s 1998 release The Spectral Spheres Coronation, then spent two albums with progressive metal outfit Ark before delivering his debut solo effort, Starfire, in 2000. In the years that followed he lent his voice to an array of projects, among them Millenium, Beyond Twilight, Masterplan, and Yngwie Malmsteen’s touring lineup, while issuing further solo albums with Worldchanger in 2001 and Out to Every Nation in 2004.
