Biography
After serving in the royal chapel under his brother's guidance, Joseph-Hector left that position to assume the post of chapel master at Antwerp Cathedral. An organist, harpsichordist, and composer, Fiocco produced numerous motets, many works for the Cathedral itself, and one volume of keyboard music. The collection offers suites whose elaborate titles echo Couperin's manner, although the intended mannerisms stay obscure. French elements appear alongside stylistic echoes of Handel and Vivaldi throughout Fiocco's output.
