Biography
In the Johnson County, KS region, the seven-piece emo-pop outfit known as Josephine Collective came together officially during 2006 after its members had already spent several years performing in different local groups. The band, consisting of the bearded performers Dillon Teague Devoe and Alexander Henry Sandate on vocals, Craig Martin Swank and Damon Peter Phoenix Baltuska handling guitar duties, Albert John Redwine on keyboards, Colby Michael Logback on bass, and Jared Daniel Bond behind the drums, favored the use of their complete names. It took little time for Warner's A&R executive John Feldmann—who had previously launched the Used—to take notice of them. Their first EP, Living, came out in July 2007, around the same time they made several appearances at that summer's Warped Festival.
