Biography
Joy Villa encompasses hard rock, acoustic pop, and dance music through her work as a singer, songwriter, actor, producer, and health coach. Having taken the stage from early childhood onward, the Orange County, California native began issuing music in the early 2010s, independently releasing several singles, the five-track EP I Make the Static, and a collection of remixes. Greater visibility arrived via her Grammy Awards red-carpet choices, above all the pro-Donald Trump dress worn to the 2017 ceremony. Although a live cover of Queen's "We Are the Champions" had appeared not long before, the considerably older I Make the Static experienced a sharper rise in interest and climbed into the Top 15 of the Billboard 200.
