Biography
Julie & the Wrong Guys marks a return to the heavier side of Juno Award-winning singer/songwriter Julie Doiron's catalog, delivering some of her most intense material since her Eric's Trip era. While residing in Toronto, Doiron first brought together the Wrong Guys—folk-punk troubadour and guitarist Eamon McGrath along with Cancer Bats drummer Mike Peters and bassist Jaye Schwarzer—to serve as her backing band for a series of 2011 performances. The combination of Doiron's clarion vocals with the group's hardcore foundation created a compelling chemistry, prompting the release of their debut single "Homeless/Farther from You" in late 2016. Their self-titled album followed the next year on Dine Alone Records.
