Julie Freundt

Born into a Peruvian household steeped in the sounds of local musicians, singer/songwriter Julie Freundt spent her earliest years immersed in that environment. Poems and traditional dances occupied her attention from a young age, leading to her first composition, the song "Miremos Todos." Virrey Records issued her debut album, Algo De Mi, in 1990. The tribute album Déjame Que Te Cante...Chabuca, honoring Peruvian star Chabuca Granda, followed in 1991. Freundt soon began touring Latin America, Europe, and the U.S.
