Biography
Julie Kelly, an accomplished vocalist residing in Los Angeles, trained in classical guitar and enrolled at Oakland City College. In 1970 she made her home in Brazil, launching a committed performing career four years later in 1973. Freelance engagements kept her active in San Francisco, among them appearances alongside John Handy's ensemble, until she relocated to Los Angeles in 1980; her subsequent recordings were issued on Pausa and CMG. She continues to teach and perform regularly throughout L.A., having stepped away from the music industry to concentrate on those pursuits before returning with the 2001 release Into the Light.
