Biography
Julie Sokolow, a musician based in Pittsburgh, handled every step of recording and producing her debut full-length album single-handedly with only a guitar, an Apple G4 laptop, and a brittle alto voice that bore a striking similarity to Chan Marshall’s. Western Vinyl issued the project, Something About Violins, in 2006.
