Biography
Dan Larsson on vocals and bass along with drummer and keyboardist Mohammed Khan, after teaming up across multiple years in their Skelleftea suburb of Sweden, launched Jupither during 1997 once guitarists Olov Nilzen and Christopher Falkman came aboard. The quartet, still short on collective time together, issued its first EP, It's Planetary, via SPEECH Records in 1998, showcasing catchy guitar riffs and power pop throughout. Nicolas Nuzzaci soon arrived to handle full-time bass duties, after which the group licensed It's Planetary to Crank! Records in Los Angeles. A follow-up single called "Star" arrived in 1999. Not a bad start for musicians who had only just finished high school.
