Biography
The initial version of Just Off Turner originated in Arkansas, where Bryan Mounce handled vocals and guitar while Eric Gustafson covered vocals and drums, taking cues from groups like Coldplay and John Mayer. Shifting to Los Angeles in 2001, the pair brought in Phil Metzler on keyboards and vocals plus Stephen Andrews on bass and vocals to complete the lineup. Their debut record, End of Play, appeared in 2003. Backed by an endorsement from John Mayer, the band earned placement on the New! Discover Music website and issued its next release, The Long Walk Back, throughout 2007.
