Biography
Justin Beckler, a singer and songwriter now based in Atlanta, spent his early years in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he first took up guitar and started composing tunes while still young. Once his high school rock group dissolved he set music aside altogether, redirecting his creative drive toward screenwriting. An unexpected listen to a Bob Dylan album shifted his direction, however, and he soon returned to writing songs. Shaped by the work of Dylan, Waits, and Bowie, he tracked and independently issued his debut album proper, Crowded Rooms, in Atlanta—his adopted hometown—where it drew local praise.
