Biography
Switzerland's K'REAM functions as a vocalist steeped in soul who also writes songs and handles production duties within a pop framework laced with R&B and hip-hop textures. His parents trace roots to Swiss, Indian, and Iranian backgrounds, and during his early years he stood out as a standout basketball athlete who suited up for the University of Menasha in Wisconsin ahead of any move into performance work. At Menasha he enrolled in the school choir. Prompted by the choir director, he began crafting and delivering original material shaped by influences that range from Michael Jackson and Prince to D'Angelo and additional artists. He later headed back to Switzerland and drew notice through recordings such as "Crossroad," "Drip Drop," and "Sex Appeal." Around the same period he tested his stage abilities by taking part in a production of Godspell while also co-writing and producing the musical Conflict, a present-day reimagining of Westside Story. Outside of live work he oversees recording sessions at Hook A Land studios, the Geneva facility he runs himself.
