Biography
Since the 1960s, Kagbe Sidibe, one of Mali's lesser-known artists, has captivated listeners across her native country. Once a participant in Mali's Ensemble National, she persists in refining her singular take on the sogoninkun style while working as a soloist. Supported by her ensemble, whose guitarists include Bayini Koita and Amadou Bagayoko, her voice rises with an overwhelming intensity.
