Biography
Kaia Fischer ranks among the central figures propelling alternative rockers Rainer Maria. Having put out multiple albums alongside the group across the late '90s and the opening stretch of the following century, she pursued an independent path by issuing her debut solo album, 2001's Open Ground. She remained in the band while completing the recording, yet the effort represented her first release free of the Rainer Maria name.
