Kalimete

Kalimete, celebrated as much for his achievements on the tennis court, performs as a merengue singer originating from the Dominican Republic and launched his recording career in 2002 through the single "Dominicano de Pura Cepa." Born Ramfis Reyes in Azua, Dominican Republic, he first entered music by handling vocals with his brother Gary inside the group L.G. Connection. The year 2002 brought his initial solo full-length release, titled Kalimete, which was succeeded by Código 5 the following year. A multi-year interval preceded his comeback via the live set Unplugged in 2007 and De Otro Planeta in 2008; the second of those projects yielded hit singles in "Taka Taka" and "Como Ella Lo Baila." Two further popular tracks arrived in 2010 with "Mezcla Sensual" and "Ella No Ta en Eso," appearing alongside the album Sin Miedo.
