Kapsize

Following the dissolution of New Cuba, vocalist and guitarist Ben Dickey launched a solo venture in 1999 under the name Kapsize. Operating out of his Austin, Texas hometown, he played bass and keyboards, worked a four-track recorder, and rotated musicians for nearly every gig, which resulted in the debut album The Gift that Post-Parlo Records released later that year. Once Dave Morgan joined on bass and Kevin Bybee on drums to lock in the lineup the next year, Post-Parlo delivered the follow-up The Captain's Recordings.
