Kari Newhouse delivers vocals with an intensity that recalls Fiona Apple. Her standing as a compelling performer is confirmed by both audience support and visible success. She and her band have shared bills with leading contemporary acts including Fuel, the Push Stars, Buffalo Tom, and Beth Orton; she reached the finals of the 1998 H.O.R.D.E.
