Karmina

The sisterly pair known as Karmina, whose moniker draws from both their given names and the Carmina Burana, operates as an adult-alternative singer/songwriter act showcasing Kelly Rudisill on piano and vocals alongside Kamille Rudisill handling guitar and vocals. The two grew up in the vicinity of San Francisco, where an early passion for music led them to enroll at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music during their teenage years. Their adolescent accomplishments included victory in a contest backed by Disney Channel, granting preliminary visibility, followed by placements of original tracks within episodes of the CW programs Summerland and Girlfriends. Even after achieving these milestones, the Rudisill siblings pursued and obtained undergraduate degrees from the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California, all while maintaining a steady schedule of performances throughout the Los Angeles region. Upon completion of their studies, the duo Karmina obtained a recording contract from Columbia Records, paving the way for their first album to arrive in 2007.
