Bringing to mind UGK members raised amid luxury goods on Macy's second level, the Texas pair Kataztrofee arrived with an unusual blend of heavy hip-hop production and eye-catching clothing that favored upscale tailoring over everyday streetwear. Eric "Victory" Johnson and Shannon "Mr. Arrogant" Speed first crossed paths repeatedly at MC competitions while pursuing separate careers around Fort Worth, Texas, before teaming up in 2013. Under the explosive name Kataztrofee, the sharply dressed duo issued the single "Der She Go" that same year. By year's end they dropped the fashion-centric anthem "Polo! Polo! Polo!," a track whose online spread earned them an opening slot on 2 Chainz' 2014 tour of America.
