Biography
Singer Katharina Boger blends modern pop with sultry R&B from her base in Los Angeles after being born in Kazakhstan. Her style evokes Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, and Bruno Mars, leading to a 2017 debut via the Bad Girl EP, a 2019 follow-up titled Angels & Devils EP, and the 2022 single “Breaking Rules.”
She entered the world in Ksyl-Orda, Kazakhstan, before her family relocated to Leipzig, Germany, during her early childhood and used both Russian and German at home. Performance always drew her interest as she joined choir and picked up piano through self-teaching by ear. Only after finishing university did she commit to music as a career, enrolling at Germany’s Johann Sebastian Bach School of Music to study piano formally and begin composing original material. She later headed to London for recording sessions and issued her first EP, Bad Girl, in 2017. Not long afterward she settled permanently in Los Angeles and teamed up with producer/songwriter Nicholas J. Turpin. The second EP, Angels & Devils, surfaced in 2019, succeeded by the singles “Breathe,” “Have It,” and “Want Me Back.” The additional single “Breaking Rules” surfaced in 2022.
