Biography
Katrin Endrikat began playing classical guitar at age nine before enrolling at Berlin’s specialized music high school, the Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach Gymnasium. She continued her studies in Canada and Germany, ultimately earning a Master’s of Music in Guitar Performance from Yale in 2014. Dale Kavanagh and Thomas Kirchhoff served as her primary teachers and mentors. Multiple music prizes and scholarships have come her way, and she has appeared at festivals in Germany, the U.S., and Peru. Audiences in Germany, the U.S., and Canada have heard her perform works by Bach, Lennox Berkeley, Rodrigo, Turina, Albéniz, Ponce, Tansman, and Konstantin Vassiliev, among others.
