Biography
Keath Mead, a singer and songwriter from South Carolina, first took up an instrument during his teenage years when he acquired a bass guitar right after seeing the Beatles film A Hard Day's Night for the initial time. The Columbia native later mastered guitar, piano, and drums on his own, performing with several indie bands while attending college. Although he had composed tracks for years and accumulated numerous demos, he had not yet led his own endeavor until chillwave artist and producer Chaz Bundick (Toro y Moi) urged him to travel to California to create a solo album. Issued in February 2015 on Bundick’s Company Records imprint, the resulting Sunday Dinner merges synth-laden indie pop with bright, relaxed ’70s rock.
