Based in Romford, East London, alternative R&B songwriter KeepVibesNear seeks to illustrate that men can experience the entire spectrum of emotions, channeling his music to probe vulnerability and sadness while also capturing bursts of joy. An early interest in English and poetry surfaced during his school days and soon directed him toward songwriting. Initial touchstones such as John Mayer, King Krule, and D'Angelo informed his path, yet he promptly forged an individual style he named NOIR. Serving as a central contributor to the Silhouettes Project—an effort built on artists supporting one another and giving to charity—gave him stability and sharpened his sonic identity. That foundation produced his debut album, When Will We Realise?, in 2019. The arrival of a 2024 mini-album also titled NOIR further cemented his place in London’s thriving music landscape.
