Biography
Born into a household steeped in music, Ken Baird followed a path common to many performers by taking up songwriting and vocals while still young. He pursued formal training at McMaster University, where his studies in music coincided with the launch of his first serious ensemble. That outfit, Perpetual Angelus, issued a single album. In the years immediately afterward, Baird lent his talents to multiple bands and an array of other performers. His debut solo record appeared in 1996. One year later he joined forces with Ian Jack to establish Bipolar. Baird’s second solo album, Fields, came out in 1998.
