Biography
Although Ken Cook displayed early vocal promise, he remained largely overshadowed by Roy Orbison, the mentor who guided his career. After signing with Sun Records in 1958, Cook recorded a modest body of work whose appeal has endured for decades among collectors of vintage material, among them his solo rendition of Orbison’s “Don't Be Runnin' Wild (Problem Child)” and their shared performance of “I Was a Fool.” Further singles released under his name were “Crazy Baby” and “Thinkin' Tonight of My Blue Eyes.”
