Biography
Kenny Doss, the Memphis, TN vocalist, reached the charts with "Sugar," the single drawn from his self-titled LP issued on Bearsville Records. Willie Mitchell, best known for Al Green's '70s hits, produced the project, which lent Doss' sound numerous shared elements with Green's. In spring 1980 "Sugar" climbed to number 43 R&B on Billboard's charts.
