Kettenkarussell

Formed by the producers Herr Koreander and Leafar Legov, Kettenkarussell operates as a duo linked to the elusive German techno imprint Giegling. Their sound leans toward minimal arrangements laced with emotion, where understated dub textures drift across consistent rhythms. Light breakbeats or acoustic guitars surface at times, and the catalog also holds a handful of downtempo or entirely beatless tracks. The pair first appeared in 2009 on the EP I Believe You and Me Make Love Forever, Giegling’s inaugural release. A year afterward came Things Will Never Flange. Apart from one contribution to the label’s 2012 compilation Futur II, the duo remained silent until issuing the double LP Easy Listening in 2014. Easy Listening Remixes arrived in 2016, featuring reworkings by artists including Lawrence and LoSoul. Later in 2017 Kettenkarussell supplied a remix of Lawrence’s “Illuminated” for Yoyogi Park Remixes, while Giegling simultaneously released the duo’s second album, Insecurity Guard.
