Since the mid-1990s Ryan Gribbin and Roger Jarvis have refined their own industrial dance approach by drawing on the synth rhythms of acts such as Penal Colony and Interzone, which helped shape the politically charged project they called Kevorkian Death Cycle.

Their first release, Collection for Injection, appeared on the since-defunct Ras Dva imprint, and a 1997 tour helped establish their profile through an enterprising, hands-on performance style that showcased forceful darkwave material. In 1998 the pair signed to Metropolis Records and issued Dark Sides, after which they shared stages with Front 242 and Front Line Assembly. A+O(M) followed the next year and contained a revised rendition of Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s club staple “Relax.” Metropolis brought Collection for Injection back into print during fall 2000.
