Biography
Bob Khaleel fronted the postmodern soul group Khaleel after establishing himself as a rapper under the name Bronx Style Bob on the 1992 album Grandma's Ghost. Teaming with guitarist and songwriting partner John O'Brien, he launched the groove rock band Super 8, which issued a self-titled LP in 1996 before dissolving soon afterward. Khaleel and O'Brien nevertheless sustained their partnership, forming a new ensemble named after the former’s surname and delivering People Watching in 1999.
