Biography
Brisbane pop singer Kiley Gaffney, who once performed with the techno group Bass-X, has pursued interests in cabaret, acting, poetry, and comedy as well. Following her departure from Bass-X to launch a solo music career, she provided support for Kim Wilde during the 1994 tour. Her debut solo release, Bitter Fluff, served as the score for a fictional film, and while promoting the project she appeared on stages alongside Shonen Knife and Bikini Kill. After periods spent traveling and residing in Paris and Barcelona, she came back to Australia, where she produced her next album using a home studio located in Brisbane. Sweet Meat was then issued commercially in the beginning of 2001.
