Biography
Hailing from Chicago, Kevin Rhomberg records and performs as Knox Fortune, a vocalist, composer, and producer whose eccentric, style-shifting approach merges hip-hop rhythms, sixties-flavored pop melodies, and indie rock textures. Born and raised in the city, he spent his early career out of the spotlight, quietly teaming with Vic Mensa and Joey Purp on various projects. His visibility surged in 2016 once he lent his skills to Chance the Rapper’s Grammy-winning album Coloring Book. The following year he issued his first solo full-length, Paradise, led by the track “Lil’ Thing,” which also featured contributions from Joey Purp, KAMI, Twin Peaks’ Colin Croom, Cadien Lake James, and additional guests.
